On February 28, 2012, Zhou Chenghai contacted his secretary out of the blue and stated, “This woman is too cruel.” Just as his secretary was going to convince him to cool off and stop acting impulsively, Zhou Chenghai hung up the phone, knowing he had no choice but to face the consequences. After making the call, Zhou Chenghai raced inside the residence of his wife, Bai Jing, and stabbed her three times. Zhou Chenghai killed himself after killing Bai Jing.
