A Jealous Father Beats, Burns, and Throws His 21-Month-Old Daughter Into a Creek

The father confesses to killing his 21-month-old daughter because he was envious of the attention she received after beating eye cancer.

Moments before killing his 21-month-old daughter Maddox, Ryan Lawrence pleaded to God for a sign. “God, if I’m not meant to kill her, make her stumble,” Lawrence reportedly told Detective Mark Rusin. He then struck her in the back of the head with a baseball bat. The toddler had battled and survived a rare kind of eye cancer. The father may have been envious of the attention her daughter was receiving.
